About Our Team
Nurse Practitioners
The role of nurse practitioners is well established in the practice. They are highly experienced, respected clinicians who have undertaken extensive training at degree level and above to deal with a wide variety of minor ailments and illnesses. Our Nurse Practitioners can manage patients of all ages with acute and ongoing conditions. They are independent prescribers (this means they can prescribe medication if required) and can refer for x-rays, ultrasound scans and refer to specialist consultants in the local hospitals. All our Nurse Practitioners have high praise, great patient feedback and fantastic satisfaction rates for consultations and can be seen as an alternative to a GP.
Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants
Our practice nurses and Healthcare Assistants are highly trained. Practice Nurses are available for general advice, wound dressing and suture removal, adult and childhood immunisations, and travel-vaccinations. Healthcare Assistants are available for health checks as well as working with the doctors in the running of various clinics.
Practice Nurses also offer regular cervical smear sessions, contraceptive advisory clinics, as well as other routine checks. These will include long -term conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease and Asthma.
Student Nurses
Inspire for Health is fortunate to be involved in Student Nurse Training. This is an exciting opportunity for them to learn about Practice Nursing, they are fully supported by Trained Practice Nurses during their placement.
If you do not wish the student nurse to remain present during your appointment, please do not worry to ask for a private consult with the Nurse.
Clinical Pharmacist
Our Clinical Pharmacist manages prescriptions, conducts consultations, calls patients about their medications, answers queries and looks at hospital discharge letter.
Our Clinical Pharmacist also conducts clinical audits and establishes self-management plans for our patients. Establishing self-management plans and working with you ensures we deliver person centered care.
Our clinical pharmacist is an expert in medicines and helps the team at Inspire for Health improves medicine optimization within the practice.
